Plying, Spindles and Niddy Noddys
I've had THE most amazing day today. I attended a course on spinning run by Gwenda at Handspun Design. The day seemed to whizz by! At the end of the session I had managed to spin a whole 100g of yarn. OK, so it wasn't of a quality I could sell, and it is going to take me a lot of practice to achieve that sort of quality, but the whole experience was so therapeutic and relaxing and satisfying all at the same time.
The picture above is the very handspun, soaking to remove the dirt. At this point it needs washing and drying and then I will knit it into something to remind me of the great day I had today -and thanks again go to Gwenda for a superb day to remember!
